Whether or not the allegations were true, their very currency goes some way to blurring the distinctions between king and governor (Braund 1984: 84).
In this case there was a preference for interpreting the remains as being from a couch, since it would be possible to imagine the corpse laid out on it in the funerary chamber (cf. 9).
